After having completed the room in July 2017 the beginning of the common use was celebrated with an opening concert. First meetings took place and people took over the room piece by piece.

The room is used for teaching and learning, as well as for many different kinds of meetings, meals and invitations to friends. It should enable access to education, knowledge and social participation.

In addition it represents an area in which self-organization and freedom of action are possible.

The room was designed, developed and built by a team for a whole community. This community includes people fleeing their home countries and arriving  at the European Border in Katsikas, northern Greece, local Greeks and people from all over Europe and the world.
