The combination of traditional crafts and latest technology are getting me excited very quickly. The borders of manual execution and digital planning faded almost completely within the Habibi Dome project. There were sketches on paper, but also accurate CAD models on the computer. Physical connections were simulated, but also tested in a practical manner. While one part of the team was building a scale model, the other half was already welding the first prototype. The team taught each other new skills and got to appreciate the previously unknown approach of doing things.
Habibi Dome is a proof of an incredible power unleashed by an technically and culturally diverse team. It makes me proud, but more importantly hopeful for any future challenges and projects.
